Everybody loves a progressive dinner, am I right? Moving from cocktails to a coursed out dining experience on the go is something that keeps the evening exciting and on the move. This concept just works and if you’re in the right neighborhood, then it’s all the better.

There is a new mixed used area setting itself up nicely in the northern Dallas suburbs and this past week, I had the chance to experience it gastronomically. I wasn’t disappointed! CityLine is a stunning mixed-use development offering something for everyone. Restaurant, entertainment and retail space offer the dynamic feel of the city in convenient proximity to the suburbs. In to further discover this live-work-play hot spot, I was invited to dine around the area and see what’s new to eat.

We began with Jaspers, one of Esquire Magazine: Top 20 New Restaurants, to enjoy a delicious prime rib dish and a seasonal risotto. Next we stopped at Coal Vines, a specialty pizzeria complemented by a full menu and a wine list that is synonymous with quality and also a reasonable price point. Boy did I enjoy their special white pizza and pepperoni. After pizza, we made our way to a Bone Daddy’s new concept, Good Union Urban BBQ. Pulled pork shoulder and a slow smoked spare rib taco with fried potato were clear winners in the group. Not pictured is a better-than-mamas banana pudding dessert that set my sweet tooth on overdrive.

To dine, live, play and shop in one spot is a blessing and CityLine delivers!
