Hit the Target

There aren’t many stores that I actually enjoy being in. The monotonous task of having to go and shop for the everyday items that keep us going can be just that, tiring. However, one of my favorite retailers is changing the game thanks to a momentous remodeling campaign that is making shopping fun!

I was recently invited by Target to take part in a local celebration that highlighted the remodel and redesign of my nearest store. Target is investing more than $220 million to remodel 28 stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, the company’s largest remodel investment in a single market in 2017. All the remodeled stores will receive top-to-bottom overhauls, including a mix of design and functionality, taking a customized approach to each store location  Eight stores are celebrating completed remodels on Saturday, June 17, with four previously completed and 16 remaining stores to be completed later this summer and fall. In addition to Target’s stores having an updated look, they will function differently enabling a digitally connected experience with an updated Order Pickup counter and Ship from Store service, which allows Target.com orders to be fulfilled from local stores and get to guests faster. Later this fall, Target will combine Cartwheel – the company’s popular savings app – with Target’s flagship app, offering guests one, easy-to-use digital solution.

I loved seeing all the attention to detail and especially the mens clothing area that highlighted the best outfit pairings for in-store try ons. Target is putting a focus on enhanced merchandise presentations that are incorporated throughout the stores to provide guests with inspiration and style. Need some grub? The remodeled grocery department will feature new wood-grain fixtures, updated floors, LED lighting, and products merchandised together to make a meal. Did you order online? Head to the updated Order Pickup and Guest Service counter, ensuring an easier and faster experience for guests picking up online orders. Lastly, the modern design elements are wonderful and have captured my attetion including updated LED lighting, new paint, new floors and fixtures.

Go see how Target is changing the game and making your day-to-day shopping trips fun and exciting!
