Being a Texan means that there are two things that I love more than anything else, grilling and the open road. Luckily, thanks to a partnership with Toyota, I was able to combine both this past week. With an amazing 2017 Land Cruiser in my possession and a passion for adventure, I hit the road and began to explore my city.
Dallas is full of ups and downs in the terrain, that’s why I decided on that Land Cruiser. The vehicle itself comes equipped with four-wheel drive with advanced control systems: TORSEN limited-slip locking center differential, Active Traction Control, Vehicle Stability Control, Downhill Assist Control and Hill Start Assist Control. So when you need to take things a bit off-road, you can rest assured knowing the amazing power of the Land Cruiser will get you there.
When it came time to partake in grilling, Toyota really showed us the red carpet. Starting at the iconic Rudolph’s Market & Sausage Factory, Chef Pittman talked the group through the different cuts of meat and their qualities, and we were able to select our own prime steak cut to prepare that evening. From there we hit the road to enjoy some time in our new Toyota and head to Chef Pittman’s personal home in Waxahachie to get the ultimate grilling lesson at his industrial-grade outdoor grill and kitchen. Chef Pittman went through grilling techniques and recipes, and answered all our grilling questions before sitting down to the perfect steak dinner. It was the perfect way to live the #LetsGoPlaces attitude and I can thank Toyota enough for the amazing week on the road.
